San Antonio Museum of Art Gala and the Importance of Lighting

San Antonio Museum of Art always throws a good party.  It’s obvious from SAMA’s events that their event staff are visual individuals.  Their events are a work of art.  Check out the individual hanging roses in the gallery space over the many tables at their seated dinner.  The uplighting highlights all the intricate details the museum planned for the event and makes the entire room glow.  We did a mix of flash and natural light during the party to make sure to capture the vibrant atmosphere.  Make note of the greens, oranges and geometric designs on the walls.  All of this comes together to make a stunning room. We also make a note to capture the guests, the staff, the curators and the hosts of the event.  It’s important to make sure to capture the right groupings of people at an event like this where so many people were involved to make it a success.
