It’s always a pleasure photographing at the San Antonio Museum of Art. They thoughtfully plan every detail from music, to food, to visuals that go along with their current exhibition. They also include fun activities; make sure to check out their colorful, Matisse-themed photo booth! As an event photographer San Antonio museum openings are so fun because you have an excuse to be one of the first few people to see the new exhibition. You also run into a lot of the same people at these events allowing you to create relationships with them. This makes people feel more comfortable being photographed when you are familiar part of the event. Another fun aspect of these museum openings is that some people dress for the theme! Make sure to check out all the fun, colorful outfits. Being a member of the museum definitely has it’s perks. These events usually have discounts for members and you get to hang out with all your member friends!
One of the neat parts of this evening is the museum had an exclusive dinner by the San Antonio river in conjunction with the opening. Patrons could pay extra to be a part of the event. The museum’s outdoor space is so pleasant, especially when you feel the breeze coming off the river. They displayed an elegant, long dinner table with matching decor from the event with live music and delicious hor d’oeuvres. You can see from the photos that everyone was full of laughter and smiles.
